Kristopher Andrews Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 4, 2011.

Kristopher Andrews, Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother passed away on December 1, 2011 after a short battle with cancer.

Kris was born on March 21, 1948, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife Debbie, and four children, Kris, Erik, Nikki and Breanna. He is also survived by his seven sisters, Karen, Katie, Kristean, Kert, Kyle, Kim and Kellee and two brothers Robert and Kraig and 3 grandchildren.

He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed taking his family camping, fishing and hiking. Kris was an amazing father and enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a soccer coach for both his daughters, assistant coach for his son, as well as enjoyed Indian Guides with his son.

Kris had a sense of humor that only a certain type of person could understand and no doubt is part of the Andrews genes! He stories were amazing…even if you heard the story once or twice before!

Kris worked for the United States Post Office and retired with 30 years. After he retired he enjoyed gardening and making homemade crafts which included his intricately decorated gourds and hand carved walking sticks.

It's hard to believe that it has been a year. You are missed by so many. I can envision and remember that laugh of yours and I miss it. I wish I could hear it now, but I know that one day I will again. I love you Uncle!

Dad, I miss you so much. I never imagined that I would have to live without you. I wish you would be here for my 18th birthday and my graduation. This isn't fair dad. Why did you leave me like this?! I needed you still because I'm still growing up. There are so many things I wanted you to teach me. But now i have to learn on my own. I love you so much though. Rest in peace dad. Love your little girl Breanna

If we could bring you back again, for one more hour or day, we'd tell you just how special you are, unique in every way.

If we could bring you back again, we'd say we treasure you, and that having you in our lives meant more than you ever knew.

If we could bring you back again, to tell you what we should, you'd know how much we love and miss you, and if we could, we would.

I love you Unk!

If I had wings I would catch the wind and soar. I would allow that wind to be in charge, to take me places I've never been. I would view the world on high, and feel the freedom of being unconnected to anything. Perhaps then I could reach the heavens and touch your hand.
