L.Roy Chesson, 59, died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, in his home.
L.Roy was a native of Vinton and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved riding horses, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his son Mike Chesson and his wife Shannon of DeQuincy; daughter Charlene Guidry and her husband Eric of Vinton; brother Albert Chesson; sister Jean "Titter" LeBeouf; and grandchildren Kelsey Chesson, Kody Chesson, Hunter Guidry, Drake Guidry, Kolbey Chesson and Gage Guidry.
He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Chesson; parents Albert and Martha Chesson and his brother Sam Chesson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Susil Fernando will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 7 p.m. and from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
