LaDeane Linford de la Cruz Jensen was born February 1, 1933 and passed away October 10, 2016, after a long but courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease,
She was the oldest child born to Iola Moore Linford and Elijah A. Linford. Raised in Provo, Utah, she graduated from Provo High School where she excelled in learning secretarial skills and arts. She worked at the Utah State Hospital for a time as the head secretary to the hospital's administrator. It was there that she met her first husband, Jose de la Cruz.
She and Jose had four sons, Robert Jose, John Karl, Steven Keith and David Marc. Her sons were her greatest joy and they couldn't have had a better mother. Their needs were always before her own.
After Jose's passing LaDeane married Lee R. Jensen who has treated her with great love and kindness and remained by her side during her illness.
LaDeane was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many capacities including Primary and Relief Society president in the Wilford Ward but her greatest calling was serving a full time mission in the Manchester England Mission with husband Lee. While quietly suffering her fair share of trials in this life she truly endured, faithful to the end.
LaDeane is survived by her husband Lee and his children, her sons, Robert (Jodee), John, Steven (Tawna) and David, grand and great grandchildren, one brother, Joseph R. Linford (Janet), an uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family. Preceded in death by her first husband Jose, parents and sisters, Barbara and Jane.
The family would like to extend sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the families of Eva Lokotui and Kalesita Langi. LaDeane resided in their homes during the last years of her life where she was given loving and professional care and treated as a member of their families as we have been. We are forever grateful!
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14th 2016 at The Wilford Ward, 3191 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah 84106 at 12:00 noon A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:45 am.

We lost a little boy when we lived in Wilford ward. LaDeane was the Primary present at the time and I worked with her in the primary. She asked if there was anything she could do. I said thanks but there's nothing anyone can do. She asked if we had a funeral outfit for him and I said no. She said she would make the outfit for him. Several days later before the funeral she brought be a beautiful white box with a big white ribbon on it. Inside was the cutest little white suit I had ever seem. We took it to the funeral director. When we went to the viewing out little boy looked wonderful in his little suit. After we came home I called and thanked her again for her tremendous act of kindness. "Do it fit?" she asked. It was perfect I said."Oh good, I prayed with every stitch it would fit because I didn't know exactly what size to make it" She wad a true disciple of Christ and I will never forget her kindness to me. I loved her and offer my deepest condolences to her boys and the family. Anita Ostler

Lee, Bob, John, Steve, Dave and extended family,
A special lady she was. Although she's left a huge void, she no longer suffers and has finally been set free.
May each of you find serenity and comfort in knowing such and let God shine upon each of you during such a peaceful but difficult time.

My prayers are with the de la Cruz family. Ladeane was a cheerful and wonderful woman who was very accepting of others. She provided light and laughter to my cousins thankfully because Bob married my Aunt Patty. May you rest in peace and shine down on your family from heaven. -Rachael Stewart
