Our sympathy, and prayers to all of you, during your time of saying good by for now!!
It was nice seeing Scott last evening. We talked, and laughed for a couple of hours.
Reading Vern's obituary, the last paragraph was everything I new of Uncle Vern. He truly was an eternal optimist!
Take care of each other! & God Bless.

Dear Friend, Marlene, So many smiles are brought to Bob and my heart as we think of the times spent together with you and Vern. Bowling, oh how he enjoyed it. Finding the Church we all enjoyed in Gulf Shores. How he would like to park at the end of the parking lots so we could all get exercise by walking. Loving the fact that he let us read the book he wrote, and what a great book it is!!!!! His quiet sense of humor. If I had to give just one word to sum him up I think it would be "Gentleman." He was everything a gentleman should be. We will miss him but we know we will see him again. We love you Marlene, light of his life. Bob and Jude

Dear Vern Ingvalson Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you as the circle is closed on an amazing life and man. Vern was a great interview, mentor, co-worker, advisor and friend during my years as a reporter and Farm Bureau employee. His patience, kindness and enthusiasm for life was evident. As you all know he was a tireless advocate for his passions - his family, his faith and agriculture.
May he rest in eternal peace.

Dear Marlene, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this sad time. Laverne loved his family so very much. He had so many gifts, and used them all. Ann is so proud to have the grandfather clock he built for her Grandma Mary and Grandpa John; it truly is a work of art. You and Laverne were such special friends to John & Mary. No doubt he's up in heaven with John and Mary and my husband John, too. God bless you all.XO

Vern was one of the institutions around the capital representing agriculture via Farm Bureau. He really was a man of faith as he often shared his views with whoever would ask him the "reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear." Blessed be his memory. Dave Van Loh MFBF Board Member

Vern was an amazing encourager during my years as senior pastor of Woodbury Lutheran Church. He was always there with a word of affirmation for so many. His faithfulness in worship and his deep interest in the things of the kingdom were an inspiration. I will be out of town the day of his service, but my heart will be with all who gather to celebrate God's grace in his life, especially Marlene and family. I rejoice in the crown of life which is Vern's in Christ Jesus! I give thanks for Vern's faith and pray that the risen Lord will provide comfort and strength along the way of grief. Susie and I send our love.

I have many fond memories of Vern growing up across the street on Coachwood. I remember how he would let Arnie and I watch him work in the yard and then we would get him to chase us around, forever known to us as "the tickle man." He was a wonderful man with a heart of gold and I will miss him always! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marlene, Debbie, Scott and Robyn.
