Labelle Brown Evans, 93, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully at the home of her devoted daughter, Donna Evans Er of Fairfax, VA on March 30, 2012.
Mrs. Evans was the widow of Donald Hays Evans originally of Harrellsville, NC and daughter of Jesse Brown and Cora Freeman Brown of Colerain, NC. She graduated from Mars Hill High School, Colerain, NC in 1938 and from nursing school, Park View Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC in 1942. She was a long time member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd in Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
