Aunt Betty, Ronnie and Rodger,
My heart is broken with the passing of Uncle Jake, but that is my selfishness coming to surface! I will miss him terribly, but I
know that I'll see Uncle Jake again. I am so sorry that I was unable to be there, but rest assure I was there in spirit.
May Jesus take you by the hand and help you find relief. Throughout this time as you go through grief-may you feel the healing touch of every thought and prayer that is sent with love and sympathy.
With His love and ours,
Ted and Judy(Warren)Scott

Dear Aunt Betty & family,
Wish I could be there to hug all of you, but know I am there in spirit.
I loved Uncle Jake so much. He was always so interested in what was going on in the lives of each of the family members.
When he called mom, even when her memory failed, he as so patient, so kind.
It is so great to know I will see him again someday.
Aunt Betty, Ronnie, Roger & families - love ya'll so much.
Love, DiAnne

GREAT Uncle Jake. How I adored him. I always told him how handsome he was and he would say ahh no I'm not. You and Betty were so giving. I will miss him so. I am so excited that he is with his family and my mom Kat. Give that jack... a kiss for me.

My sweet, sweet Uncle Jake has given me so many wonderful memories. My mom was one of his sisters. They were always close. Several months ago, when I last visited with him, he said, "Jan,if you get to heaven before I do, please tell Kat and James that I love them." Well, Uncle Jake, you are visiting with them now, along with other family members who went before you. Save me a place at the family reunion; I will be joining you one day! You helped fill my life with so much joy and too many memories to share in this message. I love you and miss you terribly already. Your niece, Jan

Lamar was the first patient in Alabama to have the Stapes operation for his hearing loss. I performed the surgery in 1957. While on the operating table, he suddenly asked, "Did the clock just begin to tick?" I said, "No, Lamar, it has been ticking all along, but you just began to hear it!"
My operating room nurse was Mrs. Peggy Batchelor; and she and I have often spoken of that day, and always rememberd Lamar. I would like to hear from Mrs. Brunson. My phone number is (205)960-8411.
Lamar was a great guy. His family is lucky to have had him with them for so many years.
