Dear Marie, Micky and Family,
,
Wendy, Jessie, Olivia and I want to send our sincerest condolences at this very tragic and difficult time. Lamar was a lifelong friend of Olivia and she is totally devastated as I'm sure you know. She and I both wanted to be at the Service today, but she is in NY and I was just too upset to go in her place.
From the time Lamar came to pick Livy up for Elizabeth's coming out party, ( photo still in our family room) to the many times we saw him on campus or had dinner in New Orleans, or drove him to New Orleans, he always impressed us as a charismatic, special, kind and joyful young man. We are so saddened by your loss. We will miss Lamar. He was a beautiful boy with great heart and spirit.
If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.

It was with great sadness that we heard the news of this tragic loss of Lamar. Our sympathy is extended to all the Family members and Friends in this loss. Lamar was a hardworking Sea Turtle Intern tasked with a difficult assignment; which he worked at diligently at to help Save Georgia's Sea Turtles! We will miss him tremendously, but know well his legacy will live on as his turtles return to the Georgia Coast in 28 years.
