Biography

Lance Arthur Reber, 44, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on January 25, 2014. He was born on March 3, 1969 to Arthur and Darlene Reber in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lance served a Mission for the LDS church in Japan and Texas. He married Sarah Burch on June 20, 1992 in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. They had two sons, Seth and Jakob. Lance had four sisters—two older sisters and two younger sisters: Lori, Lisa, Lezlie and La Tara. Lance graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1987. He played football for the high school team and was the starting center for two years—his junior and senior years of high school. Lance achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America at the age of 17. He was active in the LDS Church and loved serving the people in his ward with various callings. Lance loved working with the public and being around people. He started his young career working at some of the various hotels in Las Vegas. He later went into sales where he excelled and loved being around people. Lance was a pest control technician for the past seven years where he was currently working on getting his own license and had started teaching his sons about this profession. Lance loved his family more than anything else. He was extremely proud of his wife and his sons. He was very proud of his father, mother, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Lance Arthur Reber, 44, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on January 25, 2014.

He was born on March 3, 1969 to Arthur and Darlene Reber in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lance served a Mission for the LDS church in Japan and Texas. He married Sarah Burch on June 20, 1992 in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. They had two sons, Seth and Jakob. Lance graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1987. He played football for the high school team and was the starting center for two years—his junior and senior years of high school. He wanted everyone to meet and get to know his family. Lance loved football and was probably the number “1” Raiders fan in the world. Lance would tell us he was going to play for them one day.

Lance was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Reber.

Lance is survived by his wife, Sarah; his sons, Seth (16) and Jakob (12); his mother, Darlene Reber; sisters, Lori (Jeff) Worthington, Lisa (Kevin) Robinson, Lezlie (Spencer) Walters, and La Tara (Jeff) Heath.

Viewing Services will be held from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Palm Mortuary located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.

Another Viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00am on Saturday, February 1 with memorial services following both at the LDS Chapel, 1525 Guilford Drive, Henderson, Nevada 89014.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family on behalf of the sons.
