What a wonderful mom Lanore was to meeverytime I would say step-mom, it has never fiteven bonus mom was not good enough because Lanore was mom to me. Her tender heart, her gentle way, and her love for Jesus. She was always so willing to spend time listening, smiling, giving hugs, and gave me so many words of truth. Her many little notes, and birthday cardsI have kept each oneHer little notes of love carried me through tremendous times, and I know for sure she saved my life. Lanore, thank youI didn't come to you much these past years, I knew/know you loved me though, as I loved you. Thank you for taking care of my dad all those many years, and loving his sometimes, (many times) ornery children. Truly you were the greatest gift to our family, because you showed, and gave us the Greatest gift, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour! I love you Lanore, I cannot wait to see you again.

Lanore and I tee-hee'd and haa-haa'd like sisters every time we were together, we had shared sooooo many memories over the years. I met her and Mike in 1977 when I started attending First Assembly, and we were fast friends from then on. I loved her like a sister and trusted her like a mother - she was such a special lady. She used to tell me it was a good thing we were GOOD friends because I knew things about her than no one else had any idea about. She would tell me something I knew and we would sit and laugh and giggle like two kids. I will always remember those times and the times we spent praying for each other. There will never be another Lanore, God broke the mold. I really appreciate you sharing her with me. She's at peace.

I have known Lanore and been good friends with her since 1978 when we met in my Ceramic Painting store. We had lots of laughs and cries and prayed a lot together. She prayed for me when I had cancer in 1982 and I was healed of that and a tumor in my stomach. She led me to the Lord and was my mentor.
She was like a mother to me and I Love and Miss her very much!

Lanore was such a treasure. She was so sweet and kind. She lived her life in such a way she never need to fear death. It was so obvious that she had a deep personal relationship with her Lord. She could sense when I was troubled about something and without invading my privacy she would say just the right thing to encourage and lift my spirit. Lanore is not lost for we know where she is. Lanore was one of the sweetest, quirky, and precious souls we'd ever met. We met her in some strange circumstances but in the two days we spent with her I feel we gained so much wisdom and felt very loved in a tough time of transition. She will surely never be forgotten and we are very grateful to have known her.

Lanore was a very special prayer warrior and mentor to me and my family. We enjoyed her friendship and my husband of course enjoyed her great sense of humor, loving to tease her. She will be greatly missed!

Lanore was a treasure!! Always sharing a smile and willing to help with anything that needed to be done, which included watching our kids if we were called out unexpectedly. She loved to watch David, who was 3 at the time, and never tired of his "shenanigans" while Mike was busy pulling him from the top of trees.
She was truly an asset to Jim while working in the church office.
Our best wished to Joni and the family.

Joni and family may you be sustained with the love of all of your friends and family as well as the love of the many who cared so much for Lanore. Although she will be deeply missed, we all know that she is now happy, free of pain and fulfilled in the arms of Jesus. May we all strive to have her faith and dedication to the Lord, our Savior. Lanore, you left a beautiful legacy.

Although i only was able to see her on the holidays she was like having another grandmother. She was soft spoken and tender hearted and would always greet me with a gentle smile and a warm grasp of the hands. And even when her sight was fading she was never hesitant to mention how beautiful I looked. She will be missed but never forgotten!
