Larry Wayne Loose Sr., 71, of Blue Grass, IA passed away at home on December 25th, 2017. Visitation will be at the Runge Mortuary on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. There will be a private family service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Larry was born in Muscatine, IA. on May 10th,1946 and adopted by Chester Sr. and Dorothy Loose. Larry had one brother, Chester Jr. (Lissa) Loose Blue Grass, IA and one sister: Linda (Duane) Fausset, Prescott, AZ.
Larry graduated from Oak Park Academy, Nevada, IA in 1965 and worked at Long's Manufacturing.
Larry met Rose Haskell at a 7th Day Adventist Church and later, they were married in The Little Brown Church on March 12, 1967. Together, they had 10 children, 5 girls and 5 boys: Lorrie Megrew, Pueblo, CO, Julie Loose, Bettendorf, IA, Kimberly Loose, Tammie (Marvin) Wink, Blue Grass, IA, Teresa (Monte) Hand, Bettendorf, IA, Larry Loose II, Larry Loose III (Beth), Davenport, IA, Steven and Michael Loose, Blue Grass, IA, and Todd (Angela Evans-Ricklefs) Loose, Blue Grass, IA. They have 9 grandchildren: Kenneth (Alyshia) and Amanda Megrew, Nicole (Dustin) Roseman, Samantha Loose, Kennedy and Kila Wink, Natalia Loose, Jordan and Brady Loose. They also have 3 great grandchildren: Kashton and Elijah Megrew and Dominic Roseman.
Larry was an avid sports fan and he loved watching the Hawkeyes, Bears, and Cubs with his children. To say that Larry had a heart of gold was an understatement and his love for Rose and his family was unparalleled.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather (Walter Stoudt), his son, Larry W Loose II and his daughter, Kimberly R. Loose.

What a shock! My prayers and condolences go to the family. Larry was a friend of mine in the Davenport Seventh Day Adventist church. I had lost track of Larry when I went away to Oak Park Academy in 1960. Our families had been close during those times.
