Larry was fondly known by his friends as "Big Abb". All who knew him were richer for having known him. He loved his Lord, his wife and soulmate of 37 years, his church, his family, his friends, his pets, and Alabama football. He was a big, strong man with a gentle heart who loved to have friends to cook and care for. He always made people laugh and left them with a memory. He will be greatly missed, but the memories, his spirit to live, and the love he gave will be with us always until we join in heaven never to part again.
Pallbearers will be Lassie Lovell, Chuck Ashford, Ricky Noland, Brian Latham, Doug Latham, Tim Victory, Todd Russell, Marlin Lindsey, and Tuffy Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Timothy Winkler, Dr. Stephen Browne, all doctors and nurses who gave special care to Larry, Rice's Valley Baptist Church family, and employees of BF Goodrich and Heritage Health Care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rice's Valley Baptist Church, the American Diabetes Association , or the American Heart Association.
