Obituary

James Larry Clayton, 66, of Georgetown, went to be with his Lord Wednesday evening January 2, 2013 at 10:50 pm. Formerly of Lupton City, he currently resided in Georgetown, Tennessee. He was retired from Dixie Yarns/ R.L. Stowe textile mill at the Lupton City plant. He was preceded in death by his father James H. Clayton, step-mother Mildred Clayton, mother Margaret Cronin Henry, step father James Henry, brother J. B. Clayton and a step-sister Marceline Cash. Survivors include his wife Janice C. Rothwell Clayton; daughters Cynthia Clayton (Scott) Jones and Kari Clayton (Alex) Boyce; sister Freda Thompson and a brother Charles H....
James Larry Clayton, 66, of Georgetown, went to be with his Lord Wednesday evening January 2, 2013 at 10:50 pm. Formerly of Lupton City, he currently resided in Georgetown, Tennessee. He was retired from Dixie Yarns/ R.L. Stowe textile mill at the Lupton City plant. He was preceded in death by his father James H. Clayton, step-mother Mildred Clayton, mother Margaret Cronin Henry, step father James Henry, brother J. B. Clayton and a step-sister Marceline Cash.
Survivors include his wife Janice C. Rothwell Clayton; daughters Cynthia Clayton (Scott) Jones and Kari Clayton (Alex) Boyce; sister Freda Thompson and a brother Charles H. (Connie) Clayton; grandsons Corporal Jeremy Travis Martin, (currently serving with the United States Marine Corps in Afghanistan), Levi Scott Jones and David Carl "Trey" Bennett, III; several nieces and nephews, including immediate, Jamie Drury, Janice Whaley, Annette Moore and Jerry Thompson.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home Friday, January 3, from 4-6 and Saturday from 2-8.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
