Dr. Larry A. Dornburg, 88 of Victoria passed away on Friday, May 03, 2013 in Victoria. Larry was born to the late Adolph and Minnie Boldt Dornburg on February 12, 1925 in Weesatche, TX. He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and was a practicing dentist in Victoria, TX for over 60 years, beginning his practice in Victoria in 1950 until he retiring in December 2010. Dr. Dornburg practiced dentistry in Yorktown from 1947-1950. Dr. Dornburg graduated from the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry in Houston in 1947. Dr. Dornburg served in the United States Army Dental Corp from 1956-1958 and attained the rank of Major. ...
Dr. Larry A. Dornburg, 88 of Victoria passed away on Friday, May 03, 2013 in Victoria. Larry was born to the late Adolph and Minnie Boldt Dornburg on February 12, 1925 in Weesatche, TX. He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and was a practicing dentist in Victoria, TX for over 60 years, beginning his practice in Victoria in 1950 until he retiring in December 2010. Dr. Dornburg practiced dentistry in Yorktown from 1947-1950. Dr. Dornburg graduated from the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry in Houston in 1947.
Dr. Dornburg served in the United States Army Dental Corp from 1956-1958 and attained the rank of Major. Throughout his lifetime he proudly participated as a lifetime member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Guadalupe Valley Dental Association. Dr. Dornburg was also a member of the Victoria Lion's Club.
Dr. Dornburg leaves a host of professional support staff, clients and friends to remember him. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nancy McHalffey Dornburg.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 12-2 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, with a graveside service to follow at 3:30 PM at St. Andrew's Lutheran Cemetery in Weesatche, with Rev. C.B. Suggs officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Blake L. Dornburg, Brent A. Dornburg, Marty Raz, Trey Wimberly, Stuart Dornburg, March Dornburg and John Creech.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrews' Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Texas.
