Larry Rigsbee Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 30, 2012.

Larry Edwin Rigsbee, age 64, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2012, at Rex Hospital. He was born on December 30, 1947 in Morrisville, NC, beloved son of the late Marvin and Leola Holt Rigsbee.

Larry graduated from Apex High School and worked at Southeastern Machine and Tool Company. He was also a volunteer fire fighter in Carpenter for many years. He loved spending time outdoors, working in his shop and was always ready to go to the races with family and friends. Larry also enjoyed cooking. His barbeque was especially everyone's favorite, but it was his "special sauce" that made everything so delicious.

He will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 35 years, Ann Rigsbee; sons, Jamie Rigsbee and his wife Megan, and Mark Rigsbee; his daughters, Tonya Clifton and her husband Aaron, and Michelle Dean and her husband Matt. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ryan, Kaleb, and Haley; his brother, David Rigsbee and his wife Bobbie; and his sister, Frances Kelly. Larry will also be missed by Scooter, his best friend and faithful companion.

Larry is predeceased by his parents and his two brothers, Lewis and Wade Rigsbee.

The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex NC. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, at Lowe's Grove Baptist Church, 4430 S. Alston Avenue, Durham NC. Graveside services to follow at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Cary NC.
