The Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at The First United Methodist Church in San Angelo with Roger Seidner officiating. Laura was born January 17, 1960 in San Angelo, Texas. She grew up in San Angelo and became a licensed vocational nurse after graduating from High School. She married Steve Garvey on August 25, 1986 and they shared 27 beautiful years together. Laura was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a kind hearted and tremendously giving person who always found ways to help others, especially those who were less fortunate than herself. Laura loved working as an LVN and caring for the elderly. She loved getting manicures and going shopping for others in need and taking walks. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and loved spending time doing activities with them. Laura also had a great love for all animals. She had an incredible love for her family and was the most loyal and forgiving person to everyone who knew her. We will carry her in our hearts forever! Laura was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Steve Garvey, of San Angelo; her children, Brad Beck and his wife Shanda, of Barnhart, Courtney Hurley and her husband Cory, of Abilene and Steven Christopher Garvey and his wife Lauren, of Katy, TX; her 3 Grandchildren, Eli James Beck, Journey Jean Beck and Harper Rose Garvey; and her very special animals, Dune, Dolly and Tootsie.
