Lauren Elizabeth (Saylor) Hensel, 24, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on May 1, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on December 27, 1989 in Allentown, PA and grew up in Harrisburg, PA. Lauren loved her family. She is survived by the love of her life and the center of her world, her son, Carter M. Hensel. Lauren Elizabeth (Saylor) Hensel, 24, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on May 1, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on December 27, 1989 in Allentown, PA and grew up in Harrisburg, PA.

Lauren loved her family. She is survived by the love of her life and the center of her world, her
son, Carter M. Hensel. Her adoring fiancé, Josh Kiker, her loving parents Chuck & Pam Saylor of
Harrisburg and Dave & Christine (Knepper) Bressler of Bressler, her maternal Grandparents,
Larry Knepper of Reedsville, Joseph & Jane Marlowe of Mifflintown and David & Mary Bressler, Sr. of Dillsburg and her paternal Grandparents, Carl & Beverly Saylor of Marysville, her loving sisters Allison Saylor and Abbey DeFrank, her beloved brother Alex DeFrank (Jenn). She will be very missed by her nieces, Addison Shutt, Valerie and Rayya DeFrank. She is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many very special friends. Lauren was predeceased by a paternal grandmother, Ethel L. McCurdy.

She graduated from Central Dauphin High School, Class of 2008. She earned a silver award with The Girl Scouts of America. She was a summer camp counselor for the YMCA. She was a majorette in the high school marching band and played the violin in the orchestra. Lauren played recreational league basketball for many years.

Lauren served her country in the US Navy. She had a rewarding career as a Labor & Delivery Nursing Assistant at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She attended ITT Technical Institute in Tulsa majoring in Nursing.

Lauren was a member of the CrossPoint United Methodist Church in Colonial Park.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Lauren's life with visitation on Thursday, May 8, 2014, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, and the funeral service on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 12:00 noon, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St, Harrisburg, with Rev. David Biser officiating. Burial will be in Shoop's Cemetery Garden of Rest, 4332 Lexington Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to The Girl Scouts of America – Hemlock Council, 350 Hale Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17104.
