Lauretta Dils Romesburg, 97, passed away on Wednesday June 14th, 2017 in Carroll, Ohio. She was born on February 13th, 1920 in Uniontown, PA to the late Golda and Russell Dils. Lauretta graduated from Uniontown High School and worked in her family's business at Dils Construction Company for many years. She had also owned and managed her own business, Lauretta's Tea Room. Lauretta retired as an Administration Assistant with the Uniontown School District. Upon retirement she had moved to Sun City, Florida and had lived there until recently when she had moved to Carroll to be near her daughter and family.
Lauretta is survived by her son, Dr. Harold Romesburg and wife Barbara; daughter, Joyce Secoy and husband Bill; grandchildren, David Romesburg and wife Robin, Julie Smeltzer and husband Todd, and Brian Romesburg and wife Nichole; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Lindsey, and Isabella Romesburg, Abigail, William, and Benjamin Smeltzer; along with nephews, Gary Johnson, and Edward Rhodes; and niece, Sue Ann George.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Romesburg, and sister, Dorothy Johnson.
Funeral services are to be private and will be held at the convenience of the family in Uniontown, PA. Arrangements have been made through HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME.
Memorial gifts may be made in Lauretta's' name to FairHoPe Hospice (282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130).
