Obituary

Lawrence Wayne Ashby, beloved husband to MiRi Ashby for 37 years, passed away on June 27, 2014 at the age of 56.

Wayne was survived by his son-in-law/daughter DJ and Lisa McNamee, and son/daughter-in-law David and Sue Ashby. He was the son of Lawrence Marion and the late Mary Catherine Ashby. Other family members include grandchildren, Elsa Kang, Noah and Jonah McNamee, Isaac Ashby and his brothers Ken and Paul Ashby.

Wayne was a decorated veteran and retired from the US Army after 20 years of service in 1996. Following his military service he worked for the US Postal Service for 16 years until his passing.

His viewing will be on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 5:00 pm with memorial service immediately following at 6:00 pm. Services are to be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
