Lee Allen Obituary

Lee Allen, 82, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2010.
A native of Cochran, Georgia, he was the son of the late W. B. and Georgia Davidson Allen.
He was a R. L. S. and owned Allen Surveying for 32 years.
A former member of Central Baptist Church at Woodmore, where he taught the Sanctuary Sunday School Class. Currently he was an active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
Lee served in the U. S. Navy.
A member of the Gideon's North Camp for more than 20 years where he served as past President, Vice President and Secretary.
Lee was past President of Hixson Lions Club.
He was a member of the Hill City Masonic Lodge # 603 F & AM, the Alhambra Shrine and for many years was the van driver for the children to the Hospital in Lexington and Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Lee is survived by his wife Gail Allen; children, Robert L. Allen and wife Cheryl of Alpharetta, GA, L. David Allen and wife Mary, M. Stephen Allen, Deborah L. Gregory, Brian P. Allen and Phillip D. Bice all of Chattanooga; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 14, from 4 to 8 PM and Monday, November 15, from 11 AM until 12:30 PM at the North Chapel.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, November 15, for graveside services at 1 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's International, North Camp, P. O. Box 15011, Chattanooga, TN 37415 or to Ridgedale Baptist Church, faith building fund, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or Amedisys Hospice, 7161 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
