Lee Jencie Ballard has gone home to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Mrs. Ballard was born August 3, 1922 in Horatio, AR. She was a Christian - Child of God and member of County Ave. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Captain Herschel Ballard; and a grandson, Ray Ellis Ballard. Survivors include her brother, H. C. Ivy of Texarkana; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerrol Ellis and Mary Ballard and Jimmy Ray and Teri Ballard all of Hooks, TX; daughter, Nancy Lee Ballard of Texarkana; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Troy Lee and Stephanie Ballard of Alpine, TX, Jerry Ellis and Mariam Ballard of Hooks, TX,...

She was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Captain Herschel Ballard; and a grandson, Ray Ellis Ballard.

Survivors include her brother, H. C. Ivy of Texarkana; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerrol Ellis and Mary Ballard and Jimmy Ray and Teri Ballard all of Hooks, TX; daughter, Nancy Lee Ballard of Texarkana; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Troy Lee and Stephanie Ballard of Alpine, TX, Jerry Ellis and Mariam Ballard of Hooks, TX, and Robert Ellis Ballard of Hooks, TX; granddaughter, Claudia Lee Ballard of Dublin, GA; great grandsons and great granddaughters-in-law, Joshua Ellis and Karen Ballard of Queen City, TX, James Edward Ballard of Houston, TX, Colton Ray Ballard of Hooks, TX and Christian and Carson Ballard of Alpine, TX; great granddaughter, Anna Grace Brooxie Ballard of Hooks, TX; great great grandson, Jaiden Ellis of Queen City, TX; and numerous great great grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Dr. Roger Copeland officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
