Harvey Leake (Lee) Wiley, 78, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was a faithful member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, TN. He was born on August 17, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN and was a graduate of Chattanooga City High School, class of 1953. On November 9, 1956, he married Nancy Lee Pyle Wiley. He served in the United States Navy from 1953-1957 where he served in the Philippines at Subic Bay. He was employed with Eastern Airlines for 32 years and most recently employed by UNUM for 13 years. Harvey Leake (Lee) Wiley, 78, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was a faithful member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, TN.
He was born on August 17, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN and was a graduate of Chattanooga City High School, class of 1953.
On November 9, 1956, he married Nancy Lee Pyle Wiley.
He served in the United States Navy from 1953-1957 where he served in the Philippines at Subic Bay.
He was employed with Eastern Airlines for 32 years and most recently employed by UNUM for 13 years. He was the recipient of the SCORE Recognition award for his excellent customer service he provided during his tenure at UNUM.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dudley C. Wiley and Maybelle Lila Leake Wiley and 2 siblings; Robert Wagner Wiley and Mary Jane Wiley Carr.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Pyle Wiley of Harrison, TN; Three Children - Anthony (Tony)(Linda) Lee Wiley, Ooltewah, TN; Robert Michael (Mike)(Debbie) Wiley, Harrison, TN; Laura (Lauri)(Chuck) Elisabeth Wiley Clark; Six Grandchildren – Harold Frank Wiley (Christine), Germany; Christina Lee Gregory, Chattanooga; Heather Michelle Gregory, Harrison; Leisa Michelle Wiley, Red Bank; Brett Lee Wiley; Anthony Lee Wiley; Six Great-Grandchildren – Sara Elisabeth Roach; Abigail Faith Roach; Madison Paige Gregory; Aria Izabel Wiley; Amy Wiley; Aiden James Cuthbert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Tennessee with Pastor Jennifer Newell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cumberland Care at First Cumberland 161 2nd Street NE, Cleveland, TN 37311.
