Lee Eugene Williamson age 78, died on June 13, 2015, at the Veterans Hospital in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Mary Jane Bogard Williamson and Lee Eugene Williamson, Sr. Lee is survived by his wife, Judy Bynog Williamson; daughters Elizabeth W. Pichoff (Kevin) and Rhonda W. Derenbecker; grandchildren Jason Williamson; Kyle, Ryan and Ashley Derenbecker; stepson Brian Franks and wife Angela; step grandson Colton Franks. Lee Eugene Williamson age 78, died on June 13, 2015, at the Veterans Hospital in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Mary Jane Bogard Williamson and Lee Eugene Williamson, Sr. Lee is survived by his wife, Judy Bynog Williamson; daughters Elizabeth W. Pichoff (Kevin) and Rhonda W. Derenbecker; grandchildren Jason Williamson; Kyle, Ryan and Ashley Derenbecker; stepson Brian Franks and wife Angela; step grandson Colton Franks. Lee is also survived by his brother John T. Williamson (Virginia Rae) and his sisters, Mary Beth Corrigan (Brian), and Wanda Virginia Giraldi, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Lee was a graduate of Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri. He trained in the U. S. Army 82nd Airborne. He graduated from the Army Language School in Monterey, CA and later served as a Russian interpreter in Germany during the Cold War. He was fluent in Russian and German. Lee attended Tulane University, University of Miami and Louisiana State University. After he received his Juris Doctorate from Jackson School of Law in Jackson MS he practiced law in Bay St.Louis, Mississippi for several years. He became a Professional Oil and Gas Land Man, working for various oil companies over the last 37 years and was still working at the time of his death in a profession that he enjoyed sharing with his wife, Judy. His favorite pastimes were watching all sports of LSU, professional sports and most especially the New Orleans Saints. His enthusiasm for life and his good cheer will be greatly missed by family and many friends.

A member of the Knights of Columbus of St. John the Evangelist Church in Emory, Texas, Lee was a 4th degree Knight. He was a Past President of Knights of Columbus Council 1502 in Tyler Texas, who will provide a Color Guard for his service.

Visitation and the Rosary will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at Lloyd James Funeral Home,1011 East First Street, Tyler, Texas 75701-3308. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Victor Hernandez of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Emory, Texas officiating, at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, with viewing from 9 A.M. until the funeral. A military honor guard will serve, and the playing of Taps will conclude the service at his burial in Rose Lawn cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Hospital Hospice, Charlie Company, 4500 Lancaster Street, Dallas. Texas 75440, or to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 551 E. FM 2795, Emory, Texas 75216. All donations will be appreciated.
