To Auntie Margaret, Brian, Esther and family,
Although we did not see him often, Uncle Lennox was very dear to our family, as were you all. We feel his loss over the miles even as we remember his warmth, sense of humour, devotion to his family, and loyalty to God. We know he is smiling down on us all.

To all, Margaret, Brian, Esther and children, from all of the Ralph Araujo family, Freda, Auntie Freda, children and grandchildren. Lennox, Uncle Lennox, was so dear to all of us. We had good times in Canada and back home. The sound of Ralph and Lennox laughing together remains in our ears. I know he is already in the hands of his beloved Jesus. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Humble. Wise. Unique laughter (can hear it now). Lennox was a stricter father than most, but we couldn't get too upset. His rulings were entirely founded from love, protection and common sense. But yeah, the laughter.. The pressure-cooker chicken and those crazy cheese sandwiches that had a few little bits of lava-spice. There's at least 2 fathers out here that do what we do as a result of his Godly example. Summary: Well done, Mr. Araujo!

This was one of my mother's favourite stories about Uncle Lennox: The family at the time lived on Belmont Circular Road, in the 1930s. Mummy (Sylvia) used to go to work on bicycle and her youngest brother, Lennox, who incidentally was her godchild, used to put her bicycle out for her. One morning as she was about to leave, she called out, 'Lennox, quelle heure est il?' Lennox responded, 'Nenen (meaning godmother), I done put it out already.' That joke was one we heard at least a hundred times over the years. Uncle Lennox was my mother's last brother, born when she was 16 years old. Mummy was born in 1914.
