Leo Geller, son of Dora Geller was born on June 21, 1919, passed away on April 14, 2014 from old age. He was 94.
Leo was the middle son of three children, including older brother Morris and younger brother Saul, growing up on the Lower East Side during The Depression, and had the responsibility of supporting his mother and two brothers as a teenager. After handing that responsibility impeccably, Leo served in the Armed Forces as a Navy seaman in the Pacific during WWII. After sustaining an injury during the war, Leo returned home from Service and with his family having moved to Brooklyn, NY he began his adult life working as a Payroll and Human Resources Administrator at Kings County Hospital until his retirement at age 60. Leo never moved from his apartment in Brooklyn, since he had two passions: Sports, specifically Horse Racing, and his relationship with his childhood friends, Murray and Helen Goldberg who lived nearby with their 6 sons. Leo and his brothers were an integral part of The "Goldberg Family", they were the true "Uncles" of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leo was a remarkable person, never asking for anything, always willing to provide help to anyone. He was, by any and all accounts, "a perfect soul".
Leo is survived by all of "The Goldberg's extended family", sister-in-law Delia, his niece, Jennifer and Del.
Services at Wellwood Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y 11 AM Friday.

Arrangements under the direction of Boulevard Riverside Chapels, Brooklyn, NY.
