Leo Edward Streeter, age 94, died December 17th at Sunrise Boulder. Leo was born on September 8, 1918 in Duluth, Minnesota and grew up in Superior, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a BS in chemistry. While in California he assisted in building a facility for making artificial kidneys. His last assignment was as the Employee Relations Manager for Dow's Wanda Petroleum Division in Houston, Texas. After retirement he and his wife, Gloria moved to San Antonio in 1980. Their final move was to Boulder, Colorado in 2000.

During World War II Streeter was a Lt. in the US Navy Amphibious Corps in the Pacific Theater. While living in Midland, Michigan he was active in the Boy Scouts, Midland County Safety Committee, the Optimist Club, the Elks Club, and the Unitarian Fellowship. He was a long time member in the American Chemical Society and the Society for Human Resources. Leo will be remembered for his tireless advocacy of diversity and fairness in the work place since the 1950s, his wry sense of humor, and his kindness towards all.

I encourage Leo's immediate and extended family members to contact me to exchange more information as I prepare to publish a classic hardbound genealogy on all descendants of Richard-B and Elizabeth (------) Streeter of Dunnings Farm, East Grinstead, Sussex, England.

I am a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care and had the privilege to meet Leo and spend some time with him. What a wonderful and interesting man he was! He always beat me in a rousing game of Scrabble. It was always a pleasure entering his room and seeing his smile. I will miss spending time with him. He always had funny stories and loved to laugh. God bless you, Leo, and comfort all who love you. May you rest in peace with your beloved Gloria.
