Leon was born on December 11, 1952 to Leon Tedford, Sr. and Janey Tedford in Abilene, TX. Leon served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his service he worked in sales with American National, Mutual of Omaha and United Insurance Companies. At the time of his death he was employed in sales with Home Depot in Abilene. Leon was a Baptist.
Leon's real passion was farming. He was a member of the Abilene Northside Farmer's Market and never lost awe that you could grow something from one little seed. He loved to go fishing and watch the Dallas Cowboys play. He always loved being with his family and so enjoyed the family "get-togethers". He will be very missed by us all.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, Zane Tedford. Survivors include his loving wife, Kristin; his brother, Marshall and wife, Susan; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Young (John), and Karin Stokley; his sons, Jamie Rodgers (Vicky), Stefan Gentry (Kori), Jason Rodgers (Laura), and Ryan Gentry (Cathy); his grandchildren, Zachary (Blair), Khristian, Alexis, Debra, Tierra, Karter, Khloe, Cloe, and Zoe; one great-granddaughter, Audrie; and several nieces and nephews.

Dear Chris,
I met Leon many years ago and we shared our love of farming and gardening. We shared many gardening tips and seeds and Leon was always so happy to share his wonderful produce in the good years especially melons. Leon was a wonderful friend to me when I needed one very badly and he was very much my kind of man. . .you know a real one in a world where manhood is sadly fading. I look forward to the day that I will meet him again in God's garden. . .until then my friend I will think of you always as I sow and reap in my garden and look forward to that great day of reunion to come! AS He Lives! - David

To Leon's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11 says God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, may that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.

Dear Kristin and family: My heart is broken for you, my dearest sister. Leon was such a wonderful person and he will always have a special place in my heart for being the one who got the Honor Guard to be at Daddy's funeral. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and the boys and everyone at this very sad time. Know that I love you and am keeping you in my heart! Always - Karin
