Leon Charles Feller, age 72, of Angola, Indiana, and formerly of Fremont, Indiana, passed at 5 p.m. Sunday September 22, 2013 at Lakeland Nursing Center of Angola with his family by his side Leon was born on March 14, 1941 in Angola, Indiana , the son of Alfred and Wilda (Colfax) Feller. They preceded him in death. Leon attended Brighton Schools in LaGrange County, Indiana. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. His hobbies included antique tractors and tractor pulling. Leon Charles Feller, age 72, of Angola, Indiana, and formerly of Fremont, Indiana, passed at 5 p.m. Sunday September 22, 2013 at Lakeland Nursing Center of Angola with his family by his side

Leon was born on March 14, 1941 in Angola, Indiana , the son of Alfred and Wilda (Colfax) Feller. They preceded him in death.

Leon attended Brighton Schools in LaGrange County, Indiana. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

His hobbies included antique tractors and tractor pulling. He loved and enjoyed his family and enjoyed his friends at the Bull Pen Restaurant in Fremont. During the 1990s he was a race car owner and mechanic and enjoyed his racing partnership with Randy Palmerton, racing late models and modified cars on the racing circuit, spending time racing at places such as Angola Speedway and Avilla Speedway.

Leon worked for over 30 years at Dana-Weatherhead, Angola, Indiana.

Survivors include two sons, Tracy and Pam Feller of Fremont, Ind., and Christopher "Scott" and Jodi Feller of Fremont, Ind.; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Anna Feller, serving in the U.S. Army in Fort Hood, Texas, Ashley Feller of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Josh Feller of Fort Wayne, Ind.; longtime girlfriend and companion Tammy Brown of Angola, Ind., and her family, her daughter, Amanda and Eric McHenney, of Angola, Ind., her son, Clint Brown of Angola, Ind., and her grandchildren, Dillon, DaKota, Keegan, and Drake; and one sister, Grace Beltz of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Wilda (Colfax) Feller, and one sister, Jeanie Greeno.

There will be no calling hours.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later time at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
