Obituary

Leon Saperstein, 85, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on April 7, 2014. Leon was born in Boston, MA and graduated from Boston University. He was a journalist and sports writer. Leon's passions were Community Theater and coaching little league. He served as the President and served as school committee chairman for Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton. He and his wife moved to Arizona seven years ago. Leon is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Marlene Saperstein; children, Dr. Andrea, (Barry) Gropman and Dr. David, (Fran) Saperstein and granddaughter, Eliana Gropman. A funeral service will be held at 10am Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Memorial week will be observed at Marlene and Leon's home in Peoria.
