Leonard Alfred (Sonny) Campbell passed away at the age of 91. He was a legend in "Cattle Trucking World" and "Team Roping World". He was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that ever lived. He was a World War II Veteran, making the "D" Day landing and being at Bastogne when 101 Airborne was surrounded by Germans. The best Roping chute opener and knew every corriente steer that went through the chute and loved great horses. Leonard Alfred (Sonny) Campbell passed away at the age of 91. He was a legend in "Cattle Trucking World" and "Team Roping World". He was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that ever lived. He was a World War II Veteran, making the "D" Day landing and being at Bastogne when 101 Airborne was surrounded by Germans. He took pride in every decision in everything he did. If he made a promise or told you he would do something, you could bet he would do it.
He loved to watch all his kids and friends rope or run barrels. He got up every morning wanting and ready to work no matter what had to be done.
He is preceded by: his wife, Norma Campbell; his sons, Bobby and Bowie Campbell; his parents, Alice and Julian Campbell; his sisters, Virginia Wooten, Agnes Bean, Virgie Marie, Rebecca Troutman; his brother, Lester, Roy, Jay, Floyd and John Campbell.
He is survived by: daughters, Jewell Baize, Sarah Robinson, Judy Campbell; son, Joe Wesley Campbell (Junior); daughter-in-law, Glynda Gordon; son-in-law, Pete Robinson; grandson, Bode Baize; granddaughters, Courtney Campbell, Brandy Robinson Hooper, Clarissa Campbell; great granddaughter, Sage Sparks and husband David Hooper Jr.; sister, Jane Baker; niece, Geraldine Calhoun; nephew, Denny Calhoun; and lots of great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 8, 2013 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home West. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Relser Dr. El Paso, Texas 79912. www.martinfuneralhomewest.com
