SKINNER F. Leonard Skinner, 77, a well known, lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away September 20, 2010. Leonard was a 1951 graduate of Lee High School. He graduated from Florida State University in 1957, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He was a member of the Seminole Boosters and the Jax Umpires Association. He is survived by his wife of 54 wonderful years, Rosemary; son, Leonard Skinner; daughter, Susie Moore (Ron); grandchildren, Marshall Boston-Skinner and Chancellor Moore; cousin/sister, Virginia Cauthon; sisters-in-law, Ellen Jones and Danna Myers; nieces, Amanda Myers, Eugenia Taylor and Sarah Dan Jones; many...
SKINNER F. Leonard Skinner, 77, a well known, lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away September 20, 2010. Leonard was a 1951 graduate of Lee High School. He graduated from Florida State University in 1957, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He was a member of the Seminole Boosters and the Jax Umpires Association. He is survived by his wife of 54 wonderful years, Rosemary; son, Leonard Skinner; daughter, Susie Moore (Ron); grandchildren, Marshall Boston-Skinner and Chancellor Moore; cousin/sister, Virginia Cauthon; sisters-in-law, Ellen Jones and Danna Myers; nieces, Amanda Myers, Eugenia Taylor and Sarah Dan Jones; many loving family members and friends. The family will greet friends for a visitation from 6-8 pm, Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 24, 2010 with Rev. Gene Lynch officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Avenue, 904-388-2711. Garnet and gold attire would be welcomed and appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 2North caregivers at St. Catherine Laboure Manor for their compassionate care.
