Leroy moved to Denver in 1938. He served in the Army from January 7, 1942 to June 19, 1945. He united in marriage to June Jackson in Denver. To this union are born two sons Raymond Thomas, and William Louis. Leroy was active in Peoples Presbyterian Church. Leroy moved to Denver in 1938. He served in the Army from January 7, 1942 to June 19, 1945. He united in marriage to June Jackson in Denver. To this union are born two sons Raymond Thomas, and William Louis.
Leroy was active in Peoples Presbyterian Church. He served as an Elder, a long time member of the Usher Board, he worked on various committees, and was Keeper of the Keys. He was one of the original organizers of the City Park "Jazz in the Park". Leroy was past president of the North City Park Civic Associations. He was a Lifetime member of S. L. Brown DAV, Post #II.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years June, two sons Raymond and William (Carolyn), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his eldest son Evan Hinskton (1929-1998), two sisters Georgia M. Taylor, Wylla L. Tennison, and one brother Wilson G. Hinskton.
Visitation TH 6-9pm & Funeral FRI 11am, both at People's Presbyterian Church 2780 York St., Denver. Interment to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
