LESLIE MAE AHEARN 1956 - 2011 On Thursday, March, 17, 2011, Leslie Mae Ahearn, of Indian Head, SK., and formerly of Regina, SK., life partner and best friend of Leta Lowey, passed away at the age of 54 years. Leslie was predeceased by her father Walter Ahearn, her mother Eva Ahearn; grandparents John and Mae Ahearn and Anne (Schmidt) and Nick Huncher; Also predeceased by her extended family: Cal Lowey, Jane Stovin, Jody Lloyd and Betty Lowey. On Thursday, March, 17, 2011, Leslie Mae Ahearn, of Indian Head, SK., and formerly of Regina, SK., life partner and best friend of Leta Lowey, passed away at the age of 54 years. Leslie was predeceased by her father Walter Ahearn, her mother Eva Ahearn; grandparents John and Mae Ahearn and Anne (Schmidt) and Nick Huncher; Also predeceased by her extended family: Cal Lowey, Jane Stovin, Jody Lloyd and Betty Lowey. Leslie is survived by her cherished sister, Leanne Miles and three nieces, Whitney, Chelsea and Kiyonna Miles, Regina; special cousin, Alison (Wayne) Tkach and family, Regina; Leta's daughter, Regan (Shane) Riddell and children Rhiannon and Lukas, Regina.; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Wayne) Hill and family, Saskatoon and Carolyn (Myron) Zukewich and family, Calgary; brother-in-law, John Lloyd and family, Powell River, B.C., Leslie was recently employed by the Regina City Police Services and enjoyed her position. Previously, Leslie spent 22 years working for the Canadian Mental Health Association at the Regina Member's Club and dearly missed the members and her colleagues. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church C.E. Centre, Indian Head, Sk., on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Suzanne Edgar officiating. Cremation with interment in Indian Head Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. M. Al-Hayki and staff of the Allan Blair Cancer Centre for their kindness and compassion.
