Sorry to hear of Lews passing. We only spoke once in the past 57 years, that was at the time of Lew Baldwins death, but it felt as if time had never pasted. The friendships we share in our youth last a lifetime.

I met Lew many years ago as he was just hired as an attorney at my father's law firm.I was in high school as my Dad gave me 3 dollars an hour to do my homework and run errands at the firm.Lew would come in the law library and speak to me every day we talked about baseball,politics and about growing up in Norwich.Lew even helped me write my final term paper in my Civics class.On a few occasions Atty Horowitz would tell Lew he was not being paid by the firm to hang out with me.He made me always feel so important and valued at a time when I was struggling with my self esteem and adolescence. I will never forget his kindness ,caring and respect he displayed and will think fondly of him all my days.My sincere condolences to Sally and his family.

Sally, Midge, Roger and all of the family;
Penny and I want you to know that
our hearts are so saddened because of Lew's passing. He and I go back to NFA and he has been such a friend, in the truest sense for all these years. We shared so much and enjoyed so many times that my heart is filled with great, great memories.
To say he was a great lawyer isn't enough; to say he was the greatest of animal lovers falls short; to say he was the most compassionate, loving human being I've known is right on; but the greatest compliment I can think of is to say he was the best friend I have ever known.
He is gone from this Earth, but he will forever be in my heart and thinking of him will bring back so many great memories.
Our sincerest condolences to all of you.

Brilliant, caring, honest and above all real. Some of the forementioned don't come to mind when you think of Lew's career choice; but then Lew wasn't the norm - he was the EXCEPTION. Even during his challenges, Lew created time for others - a true testament to the above! Much love and many prayers!
