I am so sorry for your loss. I know that losing a loved one is not easy, but our faith in God's promises can help us get through difficult times like this. I hope you will find comfort in God's promise at John 11:24-25. Knowing that there is a future for those we have lost in death can be very reassuring! -

I just learned of the passing of a dear family friend, a mentor, and a father figure for me during my teen years. Lew and his wife Robyn were two of my favorite people to visit and converse with during my teen years. I enjoyed working with Lew on various home projects. He was a member of the US Army's Marksmanship Unit, and I was a member of the Baker High School Rifle team. He was encouraging to me and even let me pull targets for him at the rifle range at Fort Benning. When I was a teen , Robyn and Lew were a couple of the few adults that I could talk to on an adult level, without them talking down or being dismissive. As it goes in life, living in different cities and having responsibilities led to us speaking less over the years, but my affinity and love for Robyn and Lew has not been diminished. I shall miss him and remember him as a great father figure for the rest of my life. My condolences and abiding love to Robyn and Scott.
