Although she had little formal education she spoke five languages and rose to celebrity status as a beautiful aspiring actress. She often kept company with a young King Farouk. After WW II Lil met Robert an American pilot for TWA, married and had her first two sons James and Larry in Egypt. 24. Lil had an amazing life, starting from humble beginnings in Cairo, Egypt. Although
she had little formal education she spoke five languages and rose to celebrity status as
a beautiful aspiring actress. She often kept company with a young King Farouk.
After WW II Lil met Robert an American pilot for TWA, married and had her first two sons James and
Larry in Egypt. After being evacuated in 1956 Lil and her family settled in the United
States courtesy of the Navy's 6th Fleet. Lil's third son Bruce was born in New Jersey in
1960. Lil's proudest accomplishment was becoming a Life Master Bridge player in 1983.
Bridge was her greatest passion and she played regularly where she met and developed many
friendships over the years. Lil later took a liking to poker and played regularly,
competing in and winning many tournaments. She was a feared but loved player. The last
dozen or so years Lil spent living with her sons in New Jersey and Nevada, always in a
home where she was loved, cherished, appreciated and cared for. One of her sayings was
"By Law" so By Law, you must know that not only was Lil a great mother, friend and person
but anyone who ever met her was enriched in some way. She always spread joy and happiness
wherever she went and without a doubt was one of the finest human beings to ever walk this
earth. Lil had many great friends but she will be missed most by Christian, Betty, Bingul,
Anna, Mona, and Dot. Lil is survived by her brother Victor, her three sons, daughter in-laws
Linda, Vicky and Anna, four grandchildren and a great-grandson. She will be missed every
day.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens on Staurday
August 2nd at 10AM.
