Irene "Memaw" Scheffer age 97 went to be with the Lord at her residence. Sunrise for Irene was May 5, 1920 and Sunset was January 8, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Hattie Byrd Burge; her husband, E. J. Scheffer (Buck); her son, David Grubbs; brothers, J. C. Burge, Joe Burge and Aubry (Jack) Burge and sisters, Hallie Knight and Juila Odell Alderson. Irene is survived by her daughters, Pam Navarre and Beverly Weining; grandchildren, Monica Vega and husband Reyes, Christina Johns and husband Jack, Tiffany and husband Dustin Navarre, Bruce Advani; great grandchildren Casey, Hailey, Aubrey, Ryleigh, Kilah, and Reyes; sister, Helen Reed and husband Marvin. Numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4-8PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Earthman's Resthaven Cemetery.

I love you and miss you so much Mrs. Irene. I miss seeing you first thing in the morning and hearing your sweet voice. You allways put everyone else first no matter what you were going through and you are one of the strongest people I've ever met. There will never be another like you.
