Lillian L. Lande, 95, a long time Yakima resident, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Yakima.
Lillian was born March 30, 1919 in Rosebud, Arkansas to Nathaniel and Hannah (Lester) Atterberry. During the early stages of WWII she worked in an ammunition factory to assist in the war effort. She moved to Kennewick, WA in the early 1940's with her family. On October 1, 1945, she married Peter T. "Pete" Lande and continued to make Kennewick their home until moving to Yakima in February of 1947.
Lillian was a homemaker and also worked part time in the fruit industry. The last 15 years of her working life she was a successful Realtor in Yakima. In retirement, Lillian enjoyed pursuing various arts and crafts, she was a accomplished china painter. Her Christian faith was very important to her. She was a long time member of the Ahtanum Assembly of God Church.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 7 siblings.
Lillian is survived by her son, Ed Lande of Yakima; 2 grandsons, Mark Lande of Yakima and John Lande (Grace) of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 great-grand sons, Uriah, Luke and Jared all of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, Russell Sellars of Creston, WA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials in Lillian's name may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.
A Graveside Service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Tahoma Cemetery.
