Lillian A. Miller Bluford, 85, of Maysville died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mrs. Bluford formerly worked for Lil Caparoni and also as a seamstress. She was a member of the Catillion, the Scott United Methodist Church; the Scott Aires, served as president of the Scott Aires choir, worked in the church kitchen and was still serving as the church historian. Mrs. Bluford was born in Maysville, Kentucky on March 17, 1928 the daughter of the late Jack and Ida "Mama 5th" Morehead Miller. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Eugene B. Lillian A. Miller Bluford, 85, of Maysville died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mrs. Bluford formerly worked for Lil Caparoni and also as a seamstress. She was a member of the Catillion, the Scott United Methodist Church; the Scott Aires, served as president of the Scott Aires choir, worked in the church kitchen and was still serving as the church historian. Mrs. Bluford was born in Maysville, Kentucky on March 17, 1928 the daughter of the late Jack and Ida "Mama 5th" Morehead Miller. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Eugene B. Bluford; one daughter, Phyllis J. Bluford King of Maysville; grandchildren, Medra Chambers (Steve), Melanie King , Terry King all of Maysville and Jerry King of Bowling Green, KY; great grandchildren, De'Sarae Chambers, Aaliyah Johnson, Steven Chambers, Tee King and Te'a King; Brothers, Phillip Miller of Newport News, VA, Reginald Miller (Dawn) of Vancouver, Canada; Brothers-in-law, Jasper Bluford and Houston Bluford; Sisters-in-law, Ann Duke Bluford and Jo Greene; special nieces, Evelyn Ziegler and Sheila Marshall; special step-daughter, Bonita Cunningham; special step-grandchildren, Melissa Nicholson and Dominic Bennett; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Myles King, her brothers, Robert Miller, Gordon Miller and Wayne "Pops" Miller; her sister, Irma Miller and infant twin siblings. Funeral services for Lillian Bluford will be held at the Scott United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 with Reverend James Turley officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday evening from 5 to 8 PM. The arrangements are entrusted with Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
