Brewster, Lillian Francis, age 72, of Strawberry Plains, passed away on Thursday May 24th at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by: daughters Sandy Hunt and Kathy Akins; sister Betty Thornton, and parents Claude and Margaret Merritt. Survivors include: husband Claude Brewster; children: Debbie Houser, Steve Smith, Mike Smith, and Chris Smith; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Rhonda Maner. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Jeffery Swilley for his kindness and compassionate care for Lillian during her illness. No services are planned at this time.
