LILLIAN BRIX (nee Bannan): Lillian passed away peacefully on July 29, 2014 having just celebrated her 100th birthday in May. She is predeceased by her loving husband Albert Brix (1990) and her son Dr. Gary Brix (2013). Lillian is survived by her sister Ruby Armitage and her daughter-in-law Colleen (Todd) Brix. Lillian was the beloved grandmother of Wendy (Alan) Garrett of Kitchener, David (Susan) Brix of West Montrose and Margaret-Ann (Andrew) Brooks of Ottawa and was greatly loved by her 7 great-grandchildren Stephanie and Colin Garrett, Drew and Sarah Brix and Jaimie, Liam and Adam Brooks. LILLIAN BRIX (nee Bannan): Lillian passed away peacefully on July 29, 2014 having just celebrated her 100th birthday in May. She is predeceased by her loving husband Albert Brix (1990) and her son Dr. Gary Brix (2013). Lillian is survived by her sister Ruby Armitage and her daughter-in-law Colleen (Todd) Brix. Lillian was the beloved grandmother of Wendy (Alan) Garrett of Kitchener, David (Susan) Brix of West Montrose and Margaret-Ann (Andrew) Brooks of Ottawa and was greatly loved by her 7 great-grandchildren Stephanie and Colin Garrett, Drew and Sarah Brix and Jaimie, Liam and Adam Brooks. Lillian was born in St. Catharines to William and Margaret Bannan and lived her entire life in the Niagara region. Nana will be forever remembered for her love of life and irrepressible sense of humour. She faced all of life's opportunities and challenges with determination, courage and poise; she was an inspiration to us all. Lillian will be remembered for her enthusiasm in sharing stories of her life and for her love of family. Lillian leaves an amazing legacy; she will remain in our hearts and minds forever.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6th at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346), from 11am until the time of service in the chapel at 1pm. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired donations made to the Lincoln County Humane Society in Lillian's memory would be appreciated by her family.
