Lillian Carter Langdale 1915 - 2012
Lillian Carter Langdale, 97, a longtime resident of Newport, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 8, 2012, in Abbeville, AL.
Mrs. Langdale was Post Master for the U.S. Postal Service in Newport until its conversion to a Rural Route. She had also served as a member of the Wakulla County School Board. Mrs. Langdale was a long standing member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 242 in Crawfordville, where she held the office of Past Worthy Matron.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh D. Langdale, Sr. in 1986.
Mrs. Langdale leaves 3 children, Hugh D. Langdale, Jr. of Deatsville, AL, Nancy Langdale of Kissimmee, FL and Sarah Nell Langdale of Tallahassee; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside Service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Woodville Cemetery with the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 242 officiating.

Aunt Lil as she was known to us girls, was the sweetest lady and always found time in her busy schedule to help care for her mother and disabled brother Mose. We will surely miss her but we know she is in a much better place and rejoicing with her family as she has made it safely home.
