Wow, pat just let me know about this memorial on line card, but then Lillian would have expected me to be late I suppose, at any rate I feel the need to express my self about Lillian.
She was such a stable force in my life, her and grandpa Dee were just about the best couple that I ever met, they complimented each other in so many ways, she married into a bunch of characters that's for sure, and was never without a clear view of everyone she encountered, family or otherwise, it was a big deal for me to have her know my children, and to know them as well mannered {mostly} and kind people, we never left the mountaintop off Atterbury road without a whole Lotta hope, and a focus on the future, her advice was always wise and for the betterment of those who got it, we did not always take it but it stayed remembered, I will miss her,and the amazing story's of such a well traveled person, goodbye Lillian and thanks for everthing..........

I had the privlege of meeting this amazing lady when I visited my Aunt Flo in Sequim about ten years ago. I admired her wit, upbeat spirit, and her warmth. We corresponded over the years. I think of her with a big smile. She will be missed and not forgotten.

My aunt Florence Welsh and Lilli have enjoyed a friendship for 80 years. I finally got to meet her 3 years ago when we visited in Washington. We had strict orders from my aunt to take Lilli out to eat, the sky is the limit. When we got to Denny's Lilli insisted on paying, but upon not finding her debit card, she reluctantly agreed to allow us to pay for her meal. Such a wit!

Marriage an Elegy
They lived long and were faithful
to the good in each other.
They suffered as their faith required. Now their union is consummate in earth, and the earth
is their communion. They enter the
serene gravity of the rain, the hill's passage to the sea. After long striving, perfect ease. Wendell Berry

You cant think or talk about Lillian without also thinking or talking about her husband Dee. They were both such great and wonderful people. I learned a lot from them over the years and they always treated my family and me like family. Lillian always had chocolate milk and cookies for my kids when we stopped for a visit. There friendship and hospitality will be missed. So Dee and Lillian are now together again on their next great adventure. Thanks for everything, especially the advice and guidance.

Lilly, was a good friend of my Aunt Florence's, and treated me to cards, letters and small gifts as a child. She even would visit my mother's house when she was in California. She was full of life and all the wonders that traveling and seeing the world can bring to a young girl that has not seen the world yet.
When last I saw her was in Sequin, after my own Mother, Myrtle Fowler had passed away in 2001. She invited me to dinner along with my Aunt (whom I was visiting in Sequim) seeing the treasurers in her home, it was obvious what a wonderful traveler she was, then she showed me something even more valuable, a collection of First Day of Issues from Egypt, my favorite place in all the world. I had never seen any before and since I had just visited Egypt the year before she was full of wonderful memories of her own visits there.
She was warm and loving to me, as my aunt Florence was her Best friend and had been for over 50 years at that time. We regaled the times and cards and letters she had sent me over the years. It was a terrific visit. Being with my Aunt Florence meant everything to me, but to be included into a friendship such as theirs was even more special. I have listened to my aunt talk about what is happening in Lily's life for lots years, so I felt as if I was part of that friendship. She will be missed, not just by her closest family, but by the extended friends she had around the world, including me. Make you be with God, Lily.
