Linda Faye Bridgman Dougherty, 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016, at The Sanctuary Hospice House of Tupelo. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pontotoc, MS, where she attended The Library Sunday School Class. She was a co-owner with her sisters of Davis Flower Shop and The Hanging Grapes Restaurant. Her passions included working in her yard and cooking for her family and friends. She was also an avid Lady Warrior Basketball fan.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS, on Friday, November 25th, 2016 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday, November 26th from 10:00am until services at 12:00pm. Graveside services will follow at Jernigan Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Dougherty, and her parents, Lenward & Jeffie Bridgman. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Rosado of Memphis, TN, and Tammy Montgomery (Dr. Steve) of Pontotoc; two sons, Bill Russell (Cathy) of Pontotoc and Patrick Dougherty (Letty) of Houston, TX; her sisters, Peggy Brown (Charlie), Billie Inmon (Marlin), Shirley Caldwell (James Lawrence), Nancy Coleman (Jerry), Kim McCord (Benny), all of Pontotoc, Frances Ahmad (Falih) of Olive Branch and Lisa Bridgman of Hoover, AL; one brother, Ricky Bridgman (Donna) of Pontotoc; 9 grandchildren, Luis Rosado (Delanie), Lauren Rosado, Stephen Montgomery, Shannon Montgomery, Kyle Russell, Kayla Russell, Robert Dougherty (Sarah), Thomas Dougherty and Ellie Dougherty; one great-grandson, Michael Rosado; numerous nieces and nephews; caregivers, Betty Cherry, Debbie Holley and Sherry Loggins; one special friend, Sarah Hampton Woodruff.
Pallbearers will be her five grandsons and Reid Tackett. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Ferguson and Collin McGregor.
A special thank you is extended to the staff of Pontotoc Health Services and The Sanctuary Hospice House of Tupelo.
