Linda Faye Landry Aucoin, 67, born on December 5, 1944 in Lake Charles, LA, passed away on September 6, 2011 in her home in Berwick, LA. She was the daughter of the late Claiborne and Mamie Landry. She passed away on her mother's anniversary of death, September 6, 1974.
She is survived by her husband, Hubie Aucoin of Berwick, LA.
Linda had two children; a son, Dwayne Poole, who passed away at the age of 34 on November 10, 1997 and a daughter, Rebecca Poole Burrows of Grand Lake, LA. She has two granddaughters, Amanda Broussard Istre and Ashley Broussard Rini and husband, Zachery and five grandchildren, Riley Istre, Wyatt Istre, Arden Rini, Cullen Rini and Tyler Rini. She also had one aunt, Aunt Eula Mae Benoit of Lake Charles, LA; two sistsers, Lillian Landry Esthay and husband, Durphy of Lake Charles, LA, Lois Landry Doucet and husband, Ed; 3 nephews, James Clay Doucet, Christopher Dale Doucet, Chad Joseph Doucet and on great nephew, David John Doucet. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Aucoin's loving caretaker, Virginia Dean.
A Graveside Service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Landry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday morning til 1 p.m. with rosary will be prayed at 12 Noon. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
