Beloved mother, sister, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Linda Asik Petrossian Habian passed into eternal life in Raleigh, North Carolina on March 23rd surrounded by her family. She packed almost a century of life to the brim with adventure, travel and friendships that spanned continents and cultures. Truly a citizen of the world, she spent her early years in France and the Middle East and then immigrated to the United States with her family at the end of World War II. In 1948 she married Andrew M. Habian, whose profession as a civil engineer took them overseas to Holland, Japan and Singapore and to US-based assignments in New York, New Jersey and San Francisco.

She loved to travel and was particularly fond of France and trips later in life back to Europe to visit cousins and her granddaughter in London. She and her husband retired and moved to North Carolina in 1979 to be close to their daughter and grandchildren.

Proud of her Armenian heritage, she delighted in preparing favorite family recipes and sharing stories and treasures gathered over a lifetime. The family matriarch, Linda was happiest when busy doing for others, whether entertaining or dispensing her trademark advice. She remained a beautiful, stylish and generous woman until the very end. Artistically gifted, she studied Asian watercolor techniques and oil painting and her work now graces the homes of family and friends. An avid bridge player for years, she also participated in her church's Keenagers and Women's Circle programs.

She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew and her brothers Charles Petrossian and Arthur Petrossian. She leaves behind to treasure her memory cherished daughter Barbara Habian Leden and her husband Dr. Gordon Leden; grandson Brian Andrew Leden, his wife Amy Cline Leden and great-grandchildren Ava, Brynna, Cameron, and Davis; granddaughter Pam Leden O'Connor, her husband Dan O'Connor and great-grandchild Andrew Robin O'Connor, all of Raleigh; Brian Baker, Belinda Baker La Cour and Anna Baker of California; the Khachaturian family of New Orleans and Illinois; Kitoosh Youssefi and the Terian Family of California and a host of special friends in North Carolina, New York and around the world.

The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home at 7209 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh on Wednesday, March 26 from 6-8 pm. A Witness to the Resurrection will be held at White Memorial Presbyterian Church at 1704 Oberlin Road in Raleigh on Thursday, March 27 at 3 pm, with internment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Linda would appreciate a contribution to Interact, 1012 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, 27603 or Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, 27607. For online condolences, please visit www.MitchellatRMP.com
