Linda Joyce Roser 1950-2013 Linda Joyce Roser was born February 26, 1950 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Ann & Charles Roser. Her childhood was spent in Colorado, Nebraska and California. She graduated from Butte Valley High School in Doris, California in 1968. Prior to moving to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1969, Linda spent two summers in Sitka, Alaska living on a houseboat with her family. Linda lived in Alaska until 2012 when she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Linda worked as a seamstress at Alaska Tent & Tarp from 1969-1972, then as a seamstress/accountant at Mukluk Shop from 1973-1975. She then went to work on the Alaska pipeline...

Linda Joyce Roser was born February 26, 1950 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Ann & Charles Roser. Her childhood was spent in Colorado, Nebraska and California. She graduated from Butte Valley High School in Doris, California in 1968. Prior to moving to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1969, Linda spent two summers in Sitka, Alaska living on a houseboat with her family. Linda lived in Alaska until 2012 when she relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Linda worked as a seamstress at Alaska Tent & Tarp from 1969-1972, then as a seamstress/accountant at Mukluk Shop from 1973-1975. She then went to work on the Alaska pipeline as a Bull Cook until 1977. She then went to work for the FSNB Public Library, in Fairbanks Alaska, where she worked for 30 wonderful years as a Library Assistant and Library Associate. While there she received a Merit Award for Superior Performance, and Employee of the Month awards before retiring in 2007. Linda was a loving and fun grandmother and took her grandsons, Cole and Jason on trips to Disneyland, Fairbanks, Juneau and Anchorage, Alaska which included helicopter rides, whitewater rafting, and a glacier cruise. Linda also had a love for many crafts and enjoyed, sewing, quilting, needlepoint and stained glass, which she loved sharing as gifts to family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Roser, step-father Phil Menges, grandmother Beatrice Lay, Uncle Alfred Doggett, Aunt Emily Powell. Linda is survived by her mother Ann Bullock of Canon City, Colorado, son Douglas B Roser and wife Lanika of Clinton, Utah, grandchildren Cole and Jason Roser of Clinton, Utah, sisters Susan and husband Tom Harris of Idaho, brother Phil Menges Jr. and wife Kathy Menges of Denver, Co, Derinda (Menges) Weber and husband Steve Weber of Alexandria, VA, nephews, Christopher Menges, Brandon and Jamie Weber, and nieces, Crystal & Megan Harris and Aunt Ruth Six of Canyon City, Co. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to FSNB Public Library, 1215 Cowles St, Fairbanks, AK 99701-4313 in memory of Linda Roser.
