Linda Kay Slocumb Rowland, 66 of Tyler, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in Tyler. Mrs. Rowland, a retired admissions clerk for The University of Texas Health Center, was born on April 8, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Pasadena, Texas, graduating from Deer Park High School.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Rowland of Tyler; mother, Wanda Marie Hertlein of Tyler; step-son, Robert Rowland of Tyler; sister, Trina Bliss of Tyler and three nieces, Rachael Bliss of Tyler, Sarah Dillingham of Whitehouse and Jerushah DuToit of Tyler.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, May 9, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2014, also at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
