Lloyd D. Cowan of Flatonia passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the age of 90. Mr. Cowan was born August 24, 1920 in Flatonia to the late Samuel and Alta Hannegan Cowan. Lloyd worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a Sigmal Man.
Mr. Cowan is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Leonard Cowan and Lon Cowan.
Mr. Cowan is survived by his wife Lorene Calhoun Cown of Flatonia, one son; Don Cowan and wife Nancy of Austin, one grandson Kelly Cowan of San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 8:00 amSaturday, November 13, 2010 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Elm Grove Cemetery in Elm Grove.
