Lois Molero Cusimano passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late John Cusimano. Loving mother of Janice Cusimano Vitenas (Michael). Daughter of the late Edwin and Sarah Testa Molero. Sister of the late Milton Molero and Eddie Molero. Proud grandmother of Sarah Fanguy (Tim), Christopher Vitenas (Sarah) and Jeffrey Vitenas. Soon to be great grandmother of her first great grandchild due in July. Godmother of Kim Campbell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lois was born on January 20, 1919 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her family. Lois was a dedicated legal secretary for Exxon Mobil and retired after over 30 years of service. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Sunrise Assisted Living Center, Heart of Hospice, Brookdale Senior Living, Kelvin Contreary, MD and especially Jennifer Manuel and Diane Smith for their loving and dedicated care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to the National Parkinson Foundation, www.parkison.org, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, 1285 Rudy St., # 103, Onalaska, WI 54650.
