ALDRICH, Lois J. (Age 85) – Passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2013. She was born on August 25, 1928 to James and Thelma Butterfield in Detroit, MI. She grew up in the Detroit area and attended school graduating from Southside High School in 1946. She attended college at Hanover College graduating in 1951 with a BA degree in Math and was a member of the Phi Mu fraternity. On December 25, 1950 she married Robert Aldrich. They had five children Greg, Jan, Judy, Beth and Robert Jr. They moved around the USA and finally settled in Davenport in 1985. ALDRICH, Lois J. (Age 85) –
Passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2013. She was born on August 25, 1928 to James and Thelma Butterfield in Detroit, MI. She grew up in the Detroit area and attended school graduating from Southside High School in 1946. She attended college at Hanover College graduating in 1951 with a BA degree in Math and was a member of the Phi Mu fraternity. On December 25, 1950 she married Robert Aldrich. They had five children Greg, Jan, Judy, Beth and Robert Jr. They moved around the USA and finally settled in Davenport in 1985. She was a member of the Davenport Presbyterian Church, Davenport Study Club, Whitworth Auxiliary, local sewing and lunch bunch group. She enjoyed birds, nature, reading, and loved traveling all over the world; one of her favorite trips was to Antarctica. She loved to give books to people on the different birds and she loved her family. She is survived by five children Greg Aldrich, Jan Swearingen, Judy Aldrich, Beth Aldrich and Robert Aldrich Jr., along with seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her two sisters Doris Miles (her twin) and Marion Julien, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Aldrich in 1998 and brother James Butterfield in 2013. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Davenport Presbyterian Church, Davenport, WA with Pastor Ted Broadway, Officiating. Family suggest memorials be made to the Davenport Presbyterian Church or Assured Hospice 1417 S. Pioneer Way, Moses Lake, WA 98837. Please sign our online guestbook at www.stratefuneralhome.com.
